Zithromax.
Zithromax (azithromycin) is supposed to be taken only by people diagnosed with any of the following conditions caused by bacteria: bronchitis, sexually transmitted diseases, early Lyme disease, H. pylori infection, infections of the ears, lungs, skin, and throat, and pneumonia. Make sure you tell your health care provider if you are going to combine Zithromax with any other drugs you are already taking – such as triazolam, pimozide, ergot medicines, cholesterol-lowering medicines, warfarin, cyclosporine, HIV medicines, theophylline, calcium channel blockers, another antibiotic, carbamazepine, phenytoin, or digoxin, as interactions are possible. Interactions between the drugs mentioned and Zithromax can render your treatment less efficient, and your dose may need to be adjusted. Some medical conditions you have – such as cystic fibrosis, irregular heartbeat, liver disease, kidney disease, or HIV may also affect the dose you are prescribed – so make sure you report them to your health care provider as well. While taking Zithromax it's important to take it regularly and use the entire amount prescribed to make sure there is no relapse of infection.
